So, I decided to add a blog to my website today, because I'm a chatty person, but I need an outlet for my voice.
Four out of five days a week I work from home, for my "day job." I could spend my day on the phone with co-workers, but then nothing would get done. Head down, attend Teams conference calls, answer the rare customer phone call (because people today are afraid to pick up the phone,) and answer a ton of emails. That's my day. That's why I craft outside of work. I need to create something more than just emails. I need to release the inner creativity that I don't really have at my job.
By adding this blog I can share my thoughts and processes, and maybe get a little self-help in the meantime.
Today's post is to share what I'm working towards.
August 14th through the 16th, my brother (Bored Monkey) and I will have a stand at the Bloomsburg BBQ & Brews festival, at the Bloomsburg Fair Grounds. This will be our first time at this event, or anything like this theme. For this, I'm focusing on resin products with beer caps. (Shout out to Shermans Creek Inn, in Shermans Dale, for saving & donating bottle caps for my projects. I'm embedding them in my sculpture pieces as well as drink coasters. I also have jewelry with beer and wine charms. SInce the Dock Dogs will be there, we're both adding dog-themed products to our line up.
I'm praying for decent weather since I haven't done an outdoor event since the first of May, and I've seen a lot of scary weather this year.
But here's a toast to a good weekend and the eventual kick-off to the fall selling season!
